Ep 45: Always Forgive Yourself

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN FROM THIS EPISODE:

  • How I overcome my own limiting beliefs of anxiety, self-doubt, and stress
  • The “Next” phenomenon that happens when we are feeling anxious
  • How to train your brain to acknowledge that these thoughts are optional

There are times when you are going to say completely the wrong thing. Times when you hurt people and hopefully they are not intended, but maybe you do hurt them on purpose.

These occasions are going to feel terrible. As humans, we only get it right half the time and sometimes you just completely f*ck up.  We all f*ck up and that’s OK.

Four and a half years ago I hurt my father and he decided to end our relationship forever. I immediately felt defensive. Thankfully not long thereafter I worked through my internal unhealed pain and felt shame, sadness, and loss.

But through all those emotions, and through what I share with you today, within a few months I found forgiveness for myself, deep love for my father, and a feeling of loss that we didn't have a relationship.

Forgiving myself was the “open door” that supported my father’s desire to reconnect last week. I’m over the moon with love and gratitude.

In this episode, I share how to work through your negative feelings, how to forgive yourself, and how to hold space for the person you hurt.

Learn how to use the Framework when you’ve done something wrong and why apologizing is the easiest thing in the world to do.

Humans are awesome and awful. Once you see this you open yourself up to extraordinary growth.

Press play on this podcast to learn how to always forgive yourself and see how transformative that can be for your life.
