Probably the most frequent question I get asked is this: what is the REAL difference between therapy and life coaching?

The answer is: everything!

Are there similarities? Of course. Both life coaching and therapy are practices intended to help you better your life, and both modalities encourage you to feel your feelings, explore your thoughts, and identify patterns that are holding you back.

But there are some KEY differences between life coaching and therapy--and both may be useful to you at different times in your life. The important thing is knowing when and how to choose what will benefit you the most in the moment.
