Ep 33: External Circumstance Fallacy

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN FROM THIS EPISODE:

  • Why we believe that things outside of us like our job, romantic partner, or a promotion make us happy or unhappy.

  • What you can do today to start feeling happy regardless of what is going on in your life.

SHOW NOTES

The job. The relationship. The clothes. The house. We think that all the things OUTSIDE of us make up our life and cause our happiness. But guess what? It’s a lie.

I like to call this lie “External Circumstance Fallacy.” And if it works consistently, I would tell you to go for it! But the problem with believing our facts cause our feelings…is that we don’t always have power over the facts.

So today I want to teach you three tools to use to get out of that old belief pattern and into emotional adulthood. When we stop believing that the facts of our life cause our feelings, we gain access to so much more peace, happiness, and possibility. Like I'm always saying, it's an inside job y'all!
