EP 154: How to Feel In Control When You Leave Your Job to Be an Entrepreneur

 
 

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN FROM THIS EPISODE:

  • If you want to be an entrepreneur, you’re mean to be one. What you desire is an indicator of what we already have, but don’t recognize, or have not fully materialized in the external world. 

  • Brains love certainty and control. So, if you feel discouraged, hopeless, and anxious, it’s because your brain is doing something new. Old energy patterns from your past, often from your childhood, are showing up to make you think you’re on the wrong path. It could feel like you’re dying. Because your old self is doing just that...dying. 

  • If you want to be "in control" and keep pushing for milestones in your career, school, relationships, fitness, or elsewhere, but feel burnt out and unfulfilled after each win, this shows low self-worth.

  • If you want to feel in control, you need to understand your fear of failure. This fear of failure comes from wanting validation.

  • If you fear change, it’s because you like consistency.

  • If you worry people will reject your ideas, it’s because you want to feel connection.

  • What I’ve learned from being an entrepreneur for the past 23 years. You must give YOURSELF the validation, consistency, and connection you crave.
